The Holy Week before Easter (Semana Santa)
The Holy Week before Easter offers several days of continuous attractions in all of the surrounding towns. In Alicante, Elche and Santa Pola there is also a series of events throughout the week.
There is a celebration of Moors and Christians in almost every town
(Fiesta de Moros y Cristianos).
It is an extremely colorful series of events spanning several days, at different times in different cities. The most spectacular and largest in all of Spain is held in Alcoy every year at the end of April.
World SUP festival in Santa Pola
Santa Pola is a small town 15 minutes by car south of Arenales del Sol. It is worth approaching from Arenales on the coastal road, which in itself offers a spectacular view
- It is worth visiting Elche and taking a walk in its huge palm grove that is on the World Heritage list, where there are more than 200,000 palm trees. This is the largest palm grove in Europe.
